2021 NFL Draft: Top-5 targets for the Las Vegas Raiders on Day 2
Seth Williams, WR, Auburn
After getting John Brown in free agency, Las Vegas’ wide receiver room looks to be in fairly good shape. It never hurts to add more weapons to your offense though, especially when those weapons can help in diversifying the red zone playbook. In 2020, this was an area where Las Vegas consistently struggled during the 2020 season.
Seth Williams, a 6’3 wide receiver from Auburn, has the capability to make a major impact on Las Vegas’ red zone efficiency.
While Williams isn’t the best receiver in this draft by any stretch of the imagination, he possesses a really solid skillset that can be used creatively and effectively in the right situations. Williams possesses strong hands, which makes him successful in a lot of 50/50 matchups. This is especially the case in the red zone, where he uses his size and strength to command the corners of the endzone.
His only downside is that he doesn’t possess great explosiveness and speed, which limits his chances of creating separation. Regardless, Williams has the ability to add another layer of depth to the talented Las Vegas offense.
