Predicting the Las Vegas Raiders 2021 season game-by-game
Week 18 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
In the final game of the 17-game season, the Raiders will play host to the hated Los Angeles Chargers in a game where the winner locks up a Wild Card spot. The Chargers are going to be a much-improved team in terms of the win column, and Justin Herbert could be playing MVP-caliber football at this point.
However, with a chance to make the playoffs, and playing in front of Raider Nation inside Allegiant Stadium, the Raiders get the job done. Derek Carr leads the Raiders to a late touchdown, hitting Darren Waller in the back of the end zone, as a Daniel Carlson extra point gives Las Vegas a four-point victory.
So there you have it, the Raiders finish off a 10-7 season with a win at home against the hated Chargers. For Las Vegas, this ten-win season will get them back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 campaign, and rolling in with back-to-back wins, maybe they can surprise someone in the Wild Card round.
Prediction: Raiders 38, Chargers 34
