Las Vegas Raiders: Looking at some early 2022 NFL Mock Drafts

247Sports: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

Jon Gruden is expecting a big leap from 2nd-year players Henry Ruggs and Bryan Edwards. However, it wouldn’t be crazy for Las Vegas to target wide receivers again if they don’t show growth.

Arkansas hasn’t had a receiver drafted in the first round since Matt Jones in 2005, but there is a big chance that changes in 2022. Treylon Burks had a huge sophomore season for the Razorbacks and looks to have all the physical tools you want from a top pass catcher.

Brad Crawford of 247Sports writes this to describe Burks:

"“One of the nation’s top returning wideouts ahead of the 2021 season, Burks has WR1 written all over him at the next level thanks to his ideal blend of size, speed, and athleticism.”"

Burks has some of the more spectacular catches you’ll see from a college wide receiver and, more often than not, made his quarterbacks look like stars at times.

But what’s even more impressive was his playmaking ability. Arkansas used him in the backfield as a running back, threw him bubble screens, and even returned punts as a freshman. Burks looks like much more than a jump ball specialist, and if the Raiders go offense in the first round next year, Gruden may not be able to control himself if Burks is on the board.
