Raiders roster: 3 teams that should trade for Jalen Richard

Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta needs all of the help that they can get, especially now that Julio Jones has been traded. Right now, the team’s top running back is Mike Davis. He had a fine season in 2020, but it was nothing really special.

He is an average back who did the job in the role he was given and he’ll probably continue to be a solid back for the team in 2021.

After Davis, Atlanta’s second-best back is listed as Cordarrelle Patterson, the former Las Vegas and Chicago Bears specialty man who functioned as both a running back and wide receiver. While Patterson has a lot of talent, he doesn’t really have the ability to be the second back on a starting roster.

If Atlanta traded for Richard, then that would take pressure off of Patterson and it would allow the coaches to use Patterson on more exclusively and experimentally.

Out of all of the teams mentioned on this list, it makes the most sense for Atlanta to be the ones to trade for Richard. They need to add another viable option to their running back group, especially now that the passing game is weakened after the departure of Julio Jones.
