The Las Vegas Raiders beat the visiting Seattle Seahawks 20-7 behind a stout defense and Nathan Peterman.
For the first time, while they’ve been in Las Vegas, the Raiders played football in front of fans, well at least a version of the Raiders did. Nathan Peterman started and played nearly the entire preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks, and even though he wasn’t flashy, he helped lead the team to victory.
Raider Nation has been waiting for this game to see how the Gus Bradley run defense would perform, and they didn’t disappoint. The entire defense was flying around the field in this game, not just the defensive line.
Rookie Nate Hobbs made a great play on a surprising blitz from Bradley, Clelin Ferrell was constantly in the quarterbacks’ face, and the secondary didn’t give up many really long pass plays.
It’s always hard to find a ton of duds in a win, especially one as dominant as this one was. Even though the lone score by the Seahawks will be mentioned later, there were a ton of players that played incredibly well in this game.
Darius Philon made a major impact on that defensive line, Tanner Muse played well and had a beautifully timed knockdown pass in this game, but some players didn’t play as well. Let’s take a look at a couple of studs and duds for the Raiders preseason Week 1 victory.
