Las Vegas Raiders: Players to watch during Rams joint practices

Bryan Edwards

Bryan Edwards’ training camp has been widely discussed. However, despite improvements, the Raiders secondary is unproven, to not good. Edwards will often be matched up against Jalen Ramsey during practice this week and won’t be able to simply use his body and athleticism to get open.

Edwards’ route running, agility, and instincts will be on full display against the best cornerback in football.

The Raiders offense as a whole will be given a major test against the NFL’s top defense in 2020. Edwards is being counted on to be a key contributor this season as a huge target for Derek Carr, as well as a target across the middle of the field. If Edwards continues to have major success, especially against Ramsey, it will only build the hype.

Edwards won’t be alone in this challenge, the Raiders will also need Henry Ruggs and Hunter Renfrow to have strong showings. Yet, Ruggs and Renfrow win battles in different ways. Edwards is known as a physical specimen. It will be a great learning experience for the young receiver, but it could also propel him to new heights.
