Las Vegas Raiders vs. Baltimore Ravens: 3 things to watch for in Week 1

Ravens Run Game vs Raiders Run Defense

Like I mentioned before, the Ravens’ run game has suffered quite a bit of loss these past couple of weeks, losing two running backs to significant injuries. Le’Veon Bell has officially been signed to their practice squad, and most likely will be signed to their active roster before Monday Night’s game, so the Raiders will most likely be facing a three-headed rushing attack from Gus Edwards, Bell, and quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson has rushed for 1,000-plus yards rushing with seven touchdowns in each of the last two seasons, proving to be a dynamic playmaker with his arm, and his legs. He is going to be the ultimate test for this new-look Raiders defense.

The Raiders have once again completely overhauled their defense with a new defensive coordinator, linebacker coach, secondary coach, and a bunch of new players. Those new players include Yannick Ngakoue, former Seattle Seahawk KJ Wright, and Denzel Perryman, who played under Gus Bradley with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Look for the newly signed Wright and holdover Cory Littleton to play big roles in this game, hopefully keeping this high-octane offense at bay.
