Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 season game-by-game predictions

Week 2 – @ Pittsburgh Steelers: Loss

After a good win in week one, the Raiders travel to Pittsburgh to face an even tougher defense led by T.J. Watt, and I think the Raiders may have a little more trouble managing the Pittsburgh defensive line. The Raiders are also heading East on a short week, something they have struggled to do in the past as well.

The Steelers also defended tight ends very well in 2020, which could significantly limit the Raiders’ passing game. Both the ability to neutralized Waller to an extent and provide an incredible pass rush will be challenging for the Raiders to handle on the road.

On defense, this could be a long day for the secondary as the Steelers have three talented receivers that could exploit any pass defense. Ben Roethlisberger isn’t what he once was, but if he can get the ball in these playmaker’s hands, I don’t see the Raiders having much of an answer.
