Raiders vs. Ravens: 3 X-factors that must go Las Vegas’s way in Week 1

Minimizing the damage from Lamar Jackson

Despite all of the injuries on the offensive side of the ball, Baltimore is going to be able to move the ball against the Raiders, thanks to their elite quarterback, Lamar Jackson. With limited weapons on the outside, you can expect Jackson to try and utilize his legs, breaking the pocket and making big plays time and time again.

For Las Vegas to beat the Ravens, they must minimize those opportunities, finding ways to get pressure on him and disrupt what Baltimore wants to do offensively. Jackson does have some weapons playing in this one, including wide receiver Marquise Brown and tight end Mark Andrews, who is one of the better tight ends in the AFC.

Jackson is going to have some moments in the game that frustrates Raider Nation, but the key will be how often he does so. After seeing the entire AFC West win on Sunday, the Raiders have to make sure they get out to a strong start as well, but if Jackson has his way on Monday night, that is going to be tough to do.
