Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants: 3 Raiders to watch in Week 9

Zay Jones

The Las Vegas Raiders are a bit short at the wide receiver position heading into this game, as Willie Snead asked for his release, and Ruggs is no longer here after the incident. There are reports that the Raiders are interested in both DeSean Jackson and Odell Beckham Jr, but none of those moves, if they are made, will matter for this Sunday’s game against the Giants.

Las Vegas did add Dillon Stoner to the active roster, but he is an undefeated rookie, so they will need some other receiver on the active roster to step up, and that’s where Zay Jones comes in.

After being acquired in a trade from the Buffalo Bills in 2019, Jones has been used sparingly in the offense, collecting only 54 receptions for 456 yards and two touchdowns including a game-winner against the Baltimore Ravens, but has gained the love and respect from all of his teammates including his quarterback Derek Carr, which is the most important.

Interim coach Rich Bisaccia also said in his press conference that the team has big expectations for Jones and I can’t wait to see what Jones could do with a more expanded role in the offense I just hate the way that it is happening.
