The New York Giants will play host to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10, and here is our game preview and prediction for the matchup.
The Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants will battle it out inside MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon, as the Silver and Black will travel east after their bye week. It has been a crazy week for the Raiders, but coming out of their bye week, and playing against the New York Giants on a short week for the G-Men should play into their favor.
Las Vegas is currently sitting at 5-2 on the season, in first place in the AFC West, and have played their best football since Jon Gruden’s resignation. They went on the road and beat division rival Denver in the first game under interim head coach Rich Bisaccia, before hosting the Philadelphia Eagles before the bye week.
Now, the team tries to focus on football after a tragic week that saw Henry Ruggs III behind the wheel of a fatal crash that killed 23-year old Tina Tintor. Ruggs was released shortly after, and with him gone, Derek Carr and company will have to find a way to replace his production on the field.
Raiders roll over the New York Giants in Week 10
Despite everything going on around the team, the Raiders are the better team, and they should be able to go on the road and pick up a win in Week 10. Las Vegas has struggled to put two halves of the season together the last two years, squandering strong starts in 2019 and 2020, and that is something they will try to avoid.
Daniel Jones and the Giants played well their last time out, a road loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, but this is a Giants team that is severely banged up. Saquon Barkley, Kadarius Toney, and Kenny Golladay are all hobbled going into this matchup, giving the Raiders defense a significant advantage.
5 Raiders who have offered almost nothing to the team in 2021
With the season halfway over, let's take a look at five Las Vegas Raiders who have not contributed to the team in the way that we had hoped.
The Raiders have struggled to go east in the past, as we saw them struggle against the hapless New York Jets inside MetLife Stadium in 2020. This is a different team than the 2019 and 2020 squad, as they are solid on defense this season, something that will prove to be the difference against the Giants.
Prediction: Raiders 31, Giants 14
