The Las Vegas Raiders take on the New York Giants today in a 2021 Week 9 matchup, and here is everything you need to know leading into the game.
The Las Vegas Raiders will head east in Week 9 to take on the New York Giants, as they look to start the second half of their schedule on a high note. Las Vegas went into their break after beating both the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles, erasing a two-game losing streak that culminated in Jon Gruden resigning due to the horrible emails found in the WFT investigation.
Now, the Silver and Black turn to the New York Giants, and they will do so without 2020 first-round pick Henry Ruggs III, who was released after a tragic car accident early Tuesday morning that left 23-year old Tina Tintor dead. Ruggs was the driver of a corvette going 156 miles per hour and was twice the legal limit in terms of his BAC.
Somehow, the Raiders will need to turn their focus to the field and try to gut out a victory.
Raiders Injury Report vs New York Giants Week 9
Incredibly, Las Vegas will go into this matchup with the New York Giants with no injury designation as per interim head coach Rich Bisaccia. Their last time out, two weeks ago before the bye week against the Philadelphia Eagles, they were missing tight end Darren Waller, their No. 1 weapon on offense, and one of the best players in the NFL at his position.
Also, Josh Jacobs left that game with a chest injury, but as the coach said, both men will play today for the most healthy Las Vegas team we have seen all season long.
