Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs: Bold Predictions in Week 14
Bold Prediction #1: DeSean Jackson finds redemption
The last time the Raiders and Chiefs met it was the Las Vegas debut for newly signed wide receiver DeSean Jackson. There was a lot of excitement and speculation about what Jackson could do for the Raiders’ offense, filling the deep threat role that they missed so badly after losing Henry Ruggs III.
In our bold predictions for week 10, I even predicted that Jackson would score a long touchdown in his debut before the game.
Then, on 1st and 10 from the Raiders’ own 43-yard line, as they were attempting to rally with the score showing 24-14, Derek Carr hit Jackson downfield for what looked like it was about to be a touchdown. Then, Jackson inexplicably fumbled. The Raiders’ momentum was gone and they would not score in the game again, losing 41-14.
Well, here we go again. Since losing Ruggs, the only game that the Raiders have surpassed 20 points is a game in which Jackson went for 102 yards and a touchdown on 3 catches. With all of the noise surrounding the slow starts for Las Vegas, I expect them to come out firing early and often on Sunday, especially downfield to #1.
Look for the Raiders to cash in at least once on a big shot to the former Cal star.
