Following their playoff loss, Hunter Renfrow and the rest of the Las Vegas Raiders await changes from top to bottom this offseason.

The Las Vegas Raiders playoff run ended prematurely yesterday following a Wild Card loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the same team that defeated them back in Week 11. Unable to avenge the loss, the Raiders saw what was an eventful 2021 season end in a barrage of botched calls and heartbreaking penalties. Wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, like many others on the team, is well aware that their defeat will almost certainly result in a slew of changes for the Raiders.

The Raiders have some tough decisions to make. Owner Mark Davis needs to decide what he will do about Mike Mayock and the front office. Many feel that Mayock’s performance in the draft has marred his tenure enough that the team should consider a clean slate.

Likewise, another major thing that Davis will need to figure out is what to do with his coaching staff. This is very much Jon Gruden’s stamp on the organization, and while the team made the playoffs, there are apparent issues that can’t go unnoticed. Renfrow acknowledged that specifically with regards to the red zone offense, which was, among other things, the Raiders’ undoing.

There is much work to be done, and Raider Nation should expect tons of news and developments this week. That being said, the Raiders hung in there till the end, and as The Athletic’s Vic Tafur pointed out, the Silver and Black can take solace in knowing they didn’t get bounced from the playoffs in the manner in which the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles did this weekend.
