Where does Raiders Derek Carr land in our complete AFC QB rankings?

1. player. 124. . . . Patrick Mahomes

Another year, another dominant season from Patrick Mahomes. After some wrote them off following a rough patch early in the season, the Chiefs and Mahomes rallied to, once again, host the AFC Championship game. Of course, “15” and his brilliance took center stage in most games as he racked up 4,839 yards and 37 touchdowns. Leading the Chiefs to a 12-5 record, his all-time record sits at 50-13.

There were many incredible moments from Mahomes’ 2021 season, including three 400-yard passing games, but his best came in the playoffs. First, it was a 404-yard, five-touchdown performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Next was a legendary performance against the Bills where he threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns.

On the brink of three straight Super Bowl appearances, Patrick Mahomes is the quarterback in the NFL. It is not always perfect for Mahomes, he definitely creates a lot of his own problems at times, but he is just too talented to rank anywhere else on this list. Currently, it is Patrick Mahomes’ world and we’re all just living in it.
