Raiders: 4 potential free agent replacements for Marcus Mariota

Jacoby Brissett

Looking at the pending free agents at the quarterback position, there are a few that stand out, as they already have ties to Josh McDaniels. One of those quarterbacks is Jacoby Brissett, a former New England Patriots draft pick during McDaniels’ tenure as their offensive coordinator.

In fact, Brissett made a few starts for the Patriots during his rookie season and has since gone on to secure starting jobs in both Indianapolis and Miami. His statistics were pretty decent in each of the places he has gone on to play, and he is someone who has given the Raiders headaches in the past as well.

Brissett is only 29-years old, and actually started five of the ten games he appeared in for the Miami Dolphins this past season. He has incredible experience, has run Josh McDaniels’ offense in the past, and is another solid veteran who can make plays with his arm and his legs.
