Las Vegas Raiders: Top-4 position groups to target early in the 2022 NFL Draft

No. 3: Defensive Tackle

Another good job by Mayock this past offseason was bringing in a bunch of veterans as free agents along the defensive line. Las Vegas got strong play from Solomon Thomas and Quinton Jefferson to name a few, but they are entering free agency once again, so new faces may need to be added via the 2022 NFL Draft.

There are some exciting defensive tackles in this draft class, and in our latest 7-round mock draft, we had the Raiders picking one in the fifth round. However, the Silver and Black may need to target the position group earlier, especially if they cannot get some of the handful of defensive tackles on last year’s roster to sign back with the team.

Being strong upfront is key for any team, and Patrick Graham’s defense is usually a 3-4 scheme, so defensive tackle will need to play a big role. Johnathan Hankins will be back with the team in 2022, but this group could be lacking a lot of depth, and talent when all is said and done, making this a priority come draft day.
