Raiders: Updates on other WR options

Although the door is quickly closing on Adams, on the surface there’s a ton of great options to target during the free agency period. However, not all of them may be realistic.

Another player who was franchise tagged is the Buccaneers Chris Godwin. Godwin isn’t a name that was associated with Vegas much as is, so the chances of the Raiders throwing together a deal for him are slim to none. Unfortunately, this is likely another option off the table.

Calvin Ridley was an option Raider Nation felt strongly of, but Vegas wasn’t one of the teams reported to have interest in him. As it turns out, they can thank their lucky stars they spent their time elsewhere, as Ridley has been suspended for the entirety of the 2022 season following a gambling incident.

Allen Robinson, hitting free agency after three years in Chicago, has been linked with the Lions thoroughly; One source has even gone as far as saying they believe Detroit will go all-in on the former Bear.

While the Lions having this level of interest in Robinson can’t be confirmed right now, what can be confirmed is the Las Vegas Raiders assistant general manager has spent ample time with the receiver in Chicago. Robinson is a Detroit native, so that may play a part in his decision when it comes down to it, but if Champ Kelly vouches for the Nittany Lion, Vegas may target him as well.

Recently, Raider Nation was met with the news Dallas may cut ties with Amari Cooper if they can’t find a trade partner. Naturally, with the former Raider leaving a bitter taste in Raider Nation’s mouth, not all of the fans are too supportive of this move. Still, Cooper is available, and Las Vegas may consider adding him back to the roster.

What is the underlying meaning of the Cowboys being so content in the future without the receiver they traded a 2019 first-round pick for? It means they’re going to role with some of the other options they had last year.

One of those options is Michael Gallup, who we can expect Dallas to go all-in on, making sure they retain the 26-year-old receiver.

So far, the one receiver Las Vegas is reported to have their eyes on is DJ Chark. With Tyler Lockett now being available, does that change things?
