Raiders free agency: Interior defensive linemen to consider in 2022

Tim Settle

Tim Settle isn’t a big-name player by any means but he could make a big impact on a Raiders defense that was improved last season but just not improved enough. Settle is a good pass rusher in the interior and he has spent all his four seasons so far with the Washington football organization.

Now if you look at Settle’s number last season, it is not very impressive at all, no sacks, no quarterback hits, one fumble recovery, and four tackles for a loss, but who’s to say whose fault it really was because Washington’s defense struggled for most of the year.

In 2020, Settle had five sacks on only 118 pass-rushing snaps with 45 total quarterback pressures in his career. Settle could be a cheap option for the Raiders as he earns a bigger contract with a better performance in 2022.
