This option would be the most straightforward, just as the Cowboys traded for Amari Cooper in 2018, the Raiders could make an aggressive offer to the Packers to ensure they get their guy. Offering a first-round pick in 2022 would ensure that the Raiders do not enter into a bidding war with other teams by baiting the Packers to act quickly and allows Carr to land his favorite target from college.

This offer seems to be the most unlikely as the new regime will ultimately begin to build its legacy and hope to erase the sins of the past that have been made in previous first-round picks. The Raiders traditionally have not drafted well in the first round, especially on defense and it could be assumed that Dave Ziegler will want to put his stamp on the 2022 draft with his first pick.

The 2022 draft is certainly important to the Raiders for not only the future of the franchise but also for the success of the 2022 season. They were a playoff team last year, and the rest of the division is already improving in a big way this offseason, so do not be surprised if we see some fireworks from the franchise in the coming days.
