Raiders Draft: Day 3 Targets that can help QB Derek Carr
Raiders Day 3 Target – ZaQuandre White, RB, South Carolina
You’d be hard-pressed to find any Raiders fans who believe that their team needs another running back. Be that as it may, adding to the Silver and Black’s stable should still be a priority. Even more so when you consider the unknown future of Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake beyond 2022.
Drafting South Carolina’s ZaQuandre White gives the Raiders a long-term offensive weapon that’ll also be a cheaper alternative than Jacobs or Drake.
At six feet and 206 pounds, White carries an imposing frame and has more than enough size to be an NFL running back. While White displayed excellent footwork during his collegiate career, even if he isn’t the most elusive prospect, his physical style of play would certainly be useful. Another aspect of White’s game is his talent in the receiving game.
He caught 19 receptions last year, accumulating 202 yards and three touchdowns via the air.
Much like his versatility, White’s explosiveness is notable, especially when taking his size into account. He possesses the necessary gear to take it up a notch in the defense’s second level and will make defenders pay with his power.
His route-running is also noteworthy for his position. He can line up anywhere in the backfield, obviously, but he’s got the ability to also line up at receiver. For a possible fifth-round selection, White would carry a lot of upside for a Day 3 pick.
