Scouting Report. UCLA. BrittainBrown. 28. Pick Analysis. RB. 250. player

With their final selection in the 2022 NFL draft, Las Vegas went with UCLA running back, Brittain Brown.

For me, this was the one pick I didn’t agree with. It’s not that I don’t believe in Brown, but he was far from my highest-graded player available, at a position that really didn’t need any more added to it. I go back to my earlier point of every running back on the roster (before the draft) being a free agent next season, though, and I can see why the position wasn’t done being added to.

Brown does have some interesting analytical numbers to take note of. In comparison to other Pac-12 rushers, the Raiders’ final pick ranked eighth in yards per game, and first in yards per carry. While he didn’t make the All-Pac-12 team, Brown was an honorable mention.

Over the last two seasons, Brown has recorded 1,158 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground; You can add 213 yards and a score through the air.

It really isn’t that I believe Brown can’t get the job done at the next level as much as it is the combination of higher-rated players (per myself) and bigger needs. Considering both of these things, I have to go lower on the grade than I want to. All the same, I’m wishing Brown the best and hoping he shows me Ziegler got this one right.
