Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Bold Predictions for the 2022 rookie class

Bold Prediction 2: Dylan Parham starts at least 8 games

Dylan Parham showed potential to be a high-level starter in the NFL for a long time during his tenure as a Memphis Tiger. With the ability to play multiple positions, a stout lower body, and a great first step, Parham is a great fit for the OL needy Raiders.

While many expect his versatility to be a great asset in his first year as a backup, Parham should be expected to at least compete for a starting job right away in Las Vegas.

Parham was a four-year starter at Memphis, starting at both guard spots and right tackle during his college career. The former Tiger graded out as one of the best zone-run blockers in all of college football and earned All-American honors for his play at right guard in the 2021 season.

Despite his impressive experience at multiple OL positions, many scouts believe that he projects best at center in the NFL.

The Raiders have many question marks along the offensive line. There is no sure-fire starter at either guard position and whether or not 2021 first-round pick Alex Leatherwood returns to the tackle position is unknown. Additionally, C Andre James is a Gruden/Mayock project and his fit in Josh McDaniels’ offense is up in the air.

This leaves opportunities at several positions for Parham to secure a starting role at some point in the upcoming season. While he may not open the season as a starter from Day 1, expect Parham to start at least eight games in 2022 and prove he was well worth a day two selection by the Raiders.
