Las Vegas Raiders: 53-man roster projection post-2022 NFL Draft
Cornerback (5): Trayvon Mullen, Rock Ya-Sin, Anthony Averett, Nate Hobbs, Darius Phillips
While the Raiders do still have question marks at the cornerback position, for the first time in a long time, they are not short on talent. The trade for Rock Ya-Sin with the Indianapolis Colts changes everything for this position group, as he is a proven cornerback in this league, and should be excellent in Las Vegas.
Nate Hobbs was an absolute steal in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, as he became the best slot cornerback of the 2021 rookie class. Anthony Averett is a veteran guy who could slide in and start, especially if Trayvon Mullen does not take the next step forward, while Darius Phillips is a depth guy who will be key on special teams as well.
I could see the Raiders going after another cornerback in the coming days, as former New York Giants corner James Bradberry is on the market, and played for Graham in New York. Bradberry would be the final piece of the puzzle for this group, and cornerback may be finally becoming a strength for this Raiders franchise after so many down years.
Total Roster Number: 45
