Raiders: Dont’a Hightower could play the K.J. Wright role in 2022

Who is new at linebacker?

In terms of new additions, the Raiders have signed two linebackers this off-season. First, it was for Titans draft pick Jayon Brown. Likely to play next to Perryman, he should be a starter next season. They also added linebacker Kenny Young for some depth.

Last season, however, the Raiders added a veteran at linebacker in K.J. Wright. While he played a career-low 37% of the snaps in 2022, it is always good to have a veteran like him in the locker room. Luckily for Las Vegas, there is a similar player available in free agency right now.

The Raiders, like all teams, will be looking to win a championship in 2022. With a regime under head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler, they will be looking to implement the “Patriot Way” in Las Vegas. That, of course, would entail winning the Super Bowl.

In order to do this, why not add a player who has won championships at every level like Dont’a Hightower? Hailing from the football factory that is Alabama where he won two National Championships, he has played in nine NFL seasons, all for the Patriots. In that time, he has won three Super Bowls in New England with Ziegler and McDaniels.
