Las Vegas Raiders: Players who could exceed expectations in 2022

Zamir White

It has been an outstanding summer for Zamir White, the hard-running running back from the University of Georgia. Despite having a solid starting back in Josh Jacobs, and a reliable veteran behind him in Kenyan Drake, the Raiders decided to draft two running backs in the 2022 NFL Draft, with White being the first one.

Since then, Drake has been released and looking at the depth chart for the 2022 season, White is penciled in as the No. 2 behind Jacobs. He is a punishing runner, and it has been clear since he put on the Silver and Black that he is ready for the next level, and should be a big part of this offense in 2022.

Truth be told, the Raiders did not pick up Josh Jacobs’s fifth-year option, so the future of the position is up in the air right now. Being their draft pick, I expect the regime to see what they have in White in a big way in 2022, and that could lead to him having an even bigger impact than expected.
