Are Raiders fans running out of patience with Darren Waller?

Will Darren Waller get back into the swing of things with the Raiders?

There was good news on the injury front for Waller. Kevin Bolinger of Fox 5 Vegas sent out footage of Waller back at practice via his Twitter. One look at Bolinger’s thread will tell you how many fans feel at the moment. They’ve grown tired and weary of all this. Waller was running and practicing last weekend as well, before the New Orleans Saints game.

All of that hoopla for nothing to come to fruition

What’s truly interesting is that even before the saga of his being inactive began to play out, some fans were openly questioning Waller’s heart. The man received his new contract and soon had his dating life put on public display.

The thing is that emotional fans will attack any aspect of your life when you’re struggling. Any inclination that you have any focus other than what’s on the field, and some will turn on you, as you can see by simply searching for Waller’s name on Twitter or social media in general.

Has he lost his focus? He’s had crucial drops this season, especially against the Tennessee Titans back in September. The stats aren’t on Waller’s side either. 175 receiving yards and one touchdown heading into Week 9 isn’t elite production. You could defend him by talking about the injuries this season.

Then again, he’s missed eight of the last 15 games. But what are the Raiders and the coaching staff saying about all of this?
