Las Vegas Raiders fantasy football: Who to start and sit in 2022 Week 10
By Brad Weiss
The Las Vegas Raiders have been up and down all season, but in Week 10, there are some fantasy football plays you should target.
The 2-6 Las Vegas Raiders play host to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10, desperately needing a win in front of the home fans inside Allegiant Stadium. The past two weeks have been the opposite of what anyone could have expected, as they have lost to back-to-back two-win teams in New Orleans and Jacksonville, and will now look to right the ship against a bad Colts team on Sunday.
For those who have multiple Raiders on their fantasy football team, the past few weeks have been a nightmare, but things are looking up this weekend against the Colts. Here, we look at some guys you should start in fantasy and one who may disappoint.
Las Vegas Raiders fantasy football: Who to start in 2022 Week 10
Start: Raiders Defense
OK, before you stop reading, if there was ever a favorable matchup to start the Raiders’ defense this season, this game would be it. Sam Enlinger has yet to prove he can be a productive starting quarterback, Jonathan Taylor is coming off an injury, and the Colts’ offense is the worst in the NFL in scoring.
If Patrick Graham cannot dial up a dominant game plan against this group, it is time to show him the door as well. The Raiders have enough talent to rattle Ehlinger all game long, but if Taylor goes nuts, as has been the case with running backs against this defense in recent weeks, this play could come back to haunt you.
Start: Derek Carr and Davante Adams combo
If there is any sure thing for the offense on Sunday it will be that Derek Carr will look to hit Davante Adams early and often. Las Vegas put Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller on IR this past week, so they will not play, meaning Adams will have to have at least 15 targets on Sunday if the offense is to do anything productive.
Adams is having a solid first season in Las Vegas, but Raider Nation was expecting much more from this combo in 2022. Maybe this is the game that Adams puts up video game numbers in front of the home crowd, helping your fantasy team to victory.
Sit: Josh Jacobs
For some reason, the better Josh Jacobs does running the ball, the more that Josh McDaniels and his staff take it away from him. Jacobs has proven to be one of the more consistent backs in the NFL this season when he gets the football, but far too often, McDaniels abandons the run game, especially in the red zone.
I do not like Jacobs in this matchup solely for that purpose, as he could have a hard time finding the end zone. His usage has been a head-scratcher all season long, and with the Raiders in desperation mode in Week 10, I like them to take it to the air more often than they hand the ball to No. 28.
