Raiders: 5 numbers that defined the 2022 season

Devante Adams receiving yards

When the Raiders made the offseason move to trade for Davante Adams, we knew he was one of the best receivers in the league, but he still exceeded expectations in 2022.

In year one, he set the franchise record for receiving yards with 1516 breaking Tim Brown’s record set in 1997.

In week one against the Chargers, he had ten catches for 141 yards and a touchdown and quickly let the team know that he was easily worth the draft compensation they gave up. Adams wins at every level of the field and is someone that’s open even when he is covered.

Combined with Jacobs running the ball, the Raiders had perhaps the best running back/wide receiver duo in the league and each was All-Pros for the 2022 season. Adams is in a small category of truly elite players, and it will be fun to watch him for the next handful of years.
