More than just draft picks

Another potential domino to fall would be the addition of another player in the trade. Derek Carr is unlikely to waive his no-trade clause to go to Green Bay, so that rules him out but what about Darren Waller or Hunter Renfrow.

With the Packers moving onto a younger quarterback, they will need to add weapons to a depleted offense. This would also allow the Raiders to clear some cap space in order to take on Rodgers’s massive contract.

No doubt a massive, off-season defining move, the Raiders have a chance to make a massive addition to the team that immediately vaults them into contention. Likely to cause two-first round picks, Darren Waller or Hunter Renfrow, and some later picks, the front office will have to decide if it is worth mortgaging the future. For a fanbase that has not seen a playoff win since 2002, the future matters less and less every day.
