Las Vegas Raiders: Looking at five 2023 Senior Bowl standouts

Luke Musgraves – Tight End, Oregon State

The talk about whether Darren Waller will be a Raider next season has been going around a lot, and if that comes to fruition, there are multiple tight-end options in the draft.

Luke Musgraves had his 2022 season at Oregon State cut short due to a knee injury, but he was ready to go in Mobile. His blend of size and speed was too much to handle for defenders all week, and he moves with a fluidity that is uncommon for most tight ends. He tracked up to 20 mph during practice which is blazing for that position.

Blocking will be the point of contention to start his career, but he can impact the passing game quickly. Even if the Raiders don’t move on from Waller, Foster Moreau will be a free agent, so it may be an option regardless.

This is definitely not something that should be of first priority for the Raiders, but McDaniels used a lot of 12 personnel when he was in New England, so he would know exactly how to use a player like Musgraves.
