Las Vegas Raiders: Pending free agents playing in Super Bowl LVII to target

Philadelphia Eagles

James Bradberry, Cornerback

While James Bradberry will be known for the ‘holding’ call against him late in Super Bowl LVII, the truth is, he will be one of the more sought-after cornerbacks in this year’s free agency class. A tremendous cover guy who would start right away for the Raiders, Bradberry could command a hefty salary in free agency, but based on position group, that is where Las Vegas needs to spend big money this offseason.

Last season, Bradberry was key in a defensive backfield that made the Eagles one of the better defenses in football, starting all 17 games and nabbing three interceptions. He was also named second-team All-Pro, so when it comes to available cornerbacks this offseason, he is at the top of the list.

Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Safety

Heading back to the safety position, we take a look at Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, who started 12 games for Philadelphia in 2022, but led the team with six interceptions. For those counting at home, that total number of interceptions matches what the Raiders did as an entire team last season, so his ball-hawking skills would be a pleasant addition.

As you can see by our list, defensive backfield and right tackle stand out as positions of need when it comes to the pending free agents from the last two teams standing this past season. The Raiders have issues on both sides of the ball to clear up, and getting even one of these four players would go a long way in fixing some of them.
