Las Vegas Raiders: Top-25 players of the Derek Carr Era
No. 22: Marquette King, P (2013-2017)
Another undrafted player, Marquette King actually made the Raiders roster in 2012, but was placed on injured reserve and did not make his debut until the 2013 campaign. Taking over for a Raiders legend in Shane Lechler, King paved his own path with the franchise and would become one of the best punters in the game for a short period of time.
From 2013 through the 2017 season, King had some stellar seasons, leading the NFL in yards per punt in 2013, and in punting yards in 2014. He was named a second-team All-Pro in 2016 as well and averaged nearly 47 yards per punt during his Raiders career.
King was released by the Raiders shortly after Jon Gruden took over as head coach, and for some, King was seen as a bit of a diva. Still, there is no denying the talent of his right leg, and incredibly, at only 34 years old, he has not played in the NFL since the 2018 season when he was a member of the Denver Broncos.
