Las Vegas Raiders: Top-3 stopgap options at QB for 2023

Baker Mayfield

Once written off by the NFL, the members of Raider Nation know what kind of energy Baker Mayfield can bring to an offense. After posting 230 passing yards and a touchdown in a comeback win over the Raiders one-day after being signed by the Rams, he proved to the world that he was not finished.

With 16,288 passing yards in his career to go along with 102 touchdowns and 64 interceptions, he is certainly the most accomplished player on this list.

A former number-one overall pick of the Browns, Mayfield recorded 2,163 passing yards, ten touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 2022 across stints with the Panthers and Rams. While he does have the first-round pedigree, he has likely cemented himself as nothing more than a bridge quarterback or backup going forward.

Despite this, Mayfield remains one of the most confident and sometimes cocky players in the league. While he may not be suited to help a rookie learn the ropes, he certainly has the ability to keep fans invested and win a few games.
