After 11 training camp practices, the Las Vegas Raiders are ready for their preseason opener, as they'll host the Arizona Cardinals at Allegiant Stadium on Thursday, August 13. The Cardinals played last week in the Hall of Fame Game, where they lost to the Carolina Panthers by a score of 33-30.
The Raiders have so many new and exciting faces expected to make their debuts, from Fernando Mendoza at quarterback to Tyler Linderbaum at center to head coach Klint Kubiak on the sidelines. This will be the first chance to see them in a live setting against another NFL team.
Although preseason results don't always matter a great deal, winning is still fun, and Kubiak is trying to establish a winning culture. The new head coach said that the starters will play, so expect the Silver and Black to come out swinging as they try to ignite the Las Vegas fanbase in the new era.
