As mentioned in this week’s Podcast, the wide receiver position is the deepest position in this year’s draft class. Kelvin Benjamin is a part of this deep wide receiver class and with a solid combine he could vault up into the first round with the Patriots being a potential landing spot. However if he slips into the second round the Raiders should give him a long hard look at drafting him. Benjamin was listed at 6′ 5″ 235 lbs in college and is expected to run a sub 4.5 40 yd dash and he has the potential to have a huge vertical. Benjamin is the kind of freak athlete that has great hands and has the ability to be a number one receiver in any offense. He was one of Jameis Winston’s favorite targets this past season and it was his ability to go get the ball on jump balls. Benjamin is also a great red-zone target which has been a need for the Raiders for a few seasons now. Benjamin will open eyes at the combine with his unique blend of size, speed and athleticism.
