Final Thoughts
When it all settled on Sunday and my heart finally stopped racing, the Raiders ended up on top. We got to learn a lot about this team, the players and coaches The Raider Nation can take a week to celebrate and bask in the fact that it didn’t take us 11 weeks get out first win this year, and that we have a better record than the Ravens, Texans, Giants, Eagles, Lions, Bears, Saints and Seahawks going into Week 3.
I know it’s only Week 2 and there are 14 more games to play, but for now, at least for now, us Raiders fans can sit knowing that our team is moving in the right direction. We have a high powered offense with the capability of scoring on any given down, a defense that doesn’t quit even when it’s been getting stomped on all day long, and a coaching staff who is guiding this team to a bright future.
Again, I know it’s only Week 2, but we are currently ranked 2nd in the division, and in seven short days we have a chance to watch Johnny Football get pulverized by Khalil Mack in a winnable game for the Raiders after a big time upset over a playoff contender in the Ravens. After a disappointing start to the season the Raiders are now looking to end September with optimism, which makes it hard not to love football on a Monday like today after an epic first win of the season has turned this team around drastically.
