Updated information regarding Raiders preseason schedule
Updated game times for the Oakland Raiders preseason schedule have been announced.
Last month, part of the Oakland Raiders preseason schedule was released. But only the opponents, home or away, and the dates were known. The times were not listed. But the NFL has changed that, announcing times for every preseason game.
On Sunday, August 12, the Raiders start their preseason with a road game against the Arizona Cardinals. The game starts at 7:00pm pacific time.
On Sunday, August 19, Oakland will have their first home game of the preseason against the Los Angeles Rams. This game will also start at 7:00pm pacific time.
The next week, Sunday, August 26, the Raiders hit the road to Dallas, and will play the Cowboys at 5:00pm pacific time.
Five days later, on Thursday, August 31, the Raiders will host the Seattle Seahawks in their preseason finale. That game will start at 7:00pm pacific time.
The Raiders played both the Cardinals and Seahawks in 2016, although the home/away were opposite of this year. Oakland defeated Arizona 31-10, but lost 23-21 to Seattle.
These two teams have a long preseason history with the Raiders. For example, the Seahawks have been on Oakland’s preseason schedule every year since 2006. The Cardinals and the Raiders played in many of the years over this span.

The last time the Raiders played the Rams in the preseason was in Week 1 of 2015, winning 18-3. They also played both the Cardinals and Seahawks again, losing 30-23 to Arizona and 31-21 to Seattle.
Once again, in 2014, the Raiders and Seahawks played in the preseason. But this game is a memorable one, as it solidified Derek Carr as the Week 1 starter due to his strong performance. The rookie was 11 of 13 for 143 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INT in the preseason finale.
The 2013 contest was the last preseason matchup between the Cowboys and Raiders, which saw Oakland as the 19-17 victors. The two teams will also meet in the regular season.
