Keep Derek Carr in a clean pocket
Containing the likes of Williams and Wilkerson will not be easy, but do keep in mind how strong the Raiders are up front along the offensive line. This unit sent three guys to the Pro Bowl last year and look to have a top-10 offensive line in football once again.

This will be a big game for Pro Bowl center Rodney Hudson. He’s coming off a great game against the Titans. Can he make it two in a row against a formidable Jets defensive front?
Left tackle Donald Penn continues to be a technician out on the edge. We shouldn’t have any concerns about him in this game whatsoever.
What we do need to pay attention to are the guards. While left guard Kelechi Osemele is well on his way to another All-Pro season, right guard Gabe Jackson struggled against the Titans.
Though the left side of the Raiders offensive line looks impenetrable, the right is leaving something to be desired.

The most important thing in this game for the Raiders is to keep Carr upright in a clean pocket. We don’t need to see him getting sacked on consecutive downs like we did against the Titans. If he’s upright and can throw with touch, Oakland can win this game easily on having the superior passing game alone.
