Oakland can use this loss as motivation to beat Denver in Week 4

Even if the Raiders did overlook the Redskins on Sunday Night Football in Week 3, at least the Denver Broncos lost on Sunday, too. Denver didn’t get it done in Orchard Park versus the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo improved to 2-1, while Denver suffered its first loss of the season.

Keep in mind there are only two undefeated teams left in the NFL: Atlanta and Kansas City. Atlanta gets the Bills at home and Kansas City gets Washington at home.

We might see every team suffer a loss before Week 5. If Oakland beats Denver in Mile High, the Raiders would improve to 3-1 with a big first win in AFC West play.

Though Denver’s loss in Buffalo wasn’t good for the Broncos, it wasn’t as high-profile of a defeat was what Oakland suffered in Washington on Sunday night.

It will be a talking point surrounding the Silver and Black all week. Because it was such a bad performance, it might resonate nationally.

Winning in Denver will require a complete game from the Raiders. Hopefully this loss to the Redskins narrows Oakland’s focus heading into Week 4. The Raiders need to use that abysmal performance in Washington as a wake-up call going forward. There is no reason Oakland can’t play better against Denver on Sunday.
