Attack the middle of the field in the passing game

While moving the sticks on the No Fly Zone will be insanely difficult, there is a pathway for which the Raiders offense can get going on the road against Denver. Carr and Downing will need to devise a game plan where they attack the linebackers and safeties in the passing game.

While Harris, Roby and Talib are outstanding in pass coverage, Denver is slightly under par in pass coverage at safety.

Denver is still not elite defensive in the middle of its defense since letting Danny Trevathan walk in 2016 NFL free agency.

This game plan of Downing’s could involve some passes to tight ends or some creative concepts to get his receivers confidence against this stout Denver defense.

Maybe a few misdirections or end-arounds could be enough to create some more space for Carr to operate this high-octane Oakland offense versus Denver?

Oakland cannot fret over how strong the Broncos’ cornerbacks are. It will be a challenging day for the Raiders’ offense, but it won’t be all that easy for the Denver defense to contain it all afternoon. The Raiders will have to take charge at some point in the passing game. Exploiting weak pass coverage units at safety and linebacker could be the angle Oakland needs to be successful.
