He faces the difficult challenge of trying to save the Raiders’ sinking season in Week 6. Carr was terrific last season in his breakout year, but has not been the same player in 2017. While he was getting the ball out quickly in the first two games, the offense didn’t seem to get going due to inconsistencies in the passing game.
While the Chargers have the worse record, they do have some playmakers on their defense. Los Angeles is a talented, albeit snakebitten football team. The Chargers are 1-4, but could easily be 3-2 if they knew what they were doing in the field goal kicking department.

Carr may not be anywhere close to 100 percent physically, but he will have to keep the Raiders’ playoff dreams alive with a great performance on Sunday in Week 6. Otherwise, it could be a long rest of the way for the Silver and Black. 2-4 can hopefully be avoided if Carr plays well.
