This is really simple. It’s about understanding the magnitude of the moment. If the Raiders cannot recognize that this is a must-win game and that their season hinges on those presumed victory, well, then they maybe they won’t deserve a win.

You cannot lose four games in a row and think for a second you can make the AFC playoffs in the difficult AFC West. Oakland already has a loss in divisional play to the Denver Broncos, albeit a one-score game on the road in Week 4. A loss at home to the Chargers would have the Raiders at 0-2 in divisional play.
Then, you have to think about this. The Raiders will host arch rival Kansas City on Thursday Night Football in Week 7. Yes, this will be a short week for both teams, but at a 2-5 start with five straight losses and three of which in divisional play is not acceptable.

If the Raiders lose this game, then maybe Jack Del Rio will lose the locker room. Let’s be real. Beating Kansas City on Thursday will be very challenging. Oakland cannot overlook the Chargers on Sunday before their matchup with the Chiefs next week. The season is on the line, boys. Get it done!
