NaVorro Bowman vs. LeSean McCoy

The marquee matchup on the gridiron on Sunday has to be the one between Raiders inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman and Bills running back LeSean McCoy. This matchup features the ringleader on both sides of the ball for their respective team.

Bowman made a huge impact in his first game with the Raiders since coming over from the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night. Not only was he an active participant in the game plan, he was the team leader in tackles, helping set the tone for the Raiders’ upset victory over the Chiefs.

The Buffalo offense goes as McCoy goes. Yes, we’ll occasionally get the game where Taylor takes over with this dual-threat playmaking ability at quarterback, but we know who the best offensive player in Western New York is. It’s clearly McCoy, who is quietly building his résumé for Canton perhaps.

If McCoy rushes for over 100 yards and a couple of scores on the Raiders defense, it will be Buffalo that gets a big Week 8 home victory. Should Bowman and the Raiders front-seven shut down McCoy, Oakland will see itself at .500 at 4-4 at the end of the week. Sunday is a sneaky-good game for both teams with a lot of things to get excited about.
