Win the turnover battle.

No, this has not been something the Raiders have been anywhere close to good at. I mean, how can you win the turnover battle when your defense hasn’t forced an interception all season? Yet here we are and this is what needs to happen to ensure the Raiders of a huge fifth victory of the season.

Though the first 10 teams weren’t exactly fruitful for the Raiders in the interception department, Denver is starting essentially its third-string quarterback in Paxton Lynch. That means the 3-7 Broncos are probably punting their season. They want to know exactly what they have in Lynch in the final six games before possibly looking for yet another starting quarterback heading into next season.

Lynch will want to make plays to give himself a shot at keeping the starting job into next year. A pressing quarterback making his third career start could be exactly what the Raiders need to win the turnover battle and win the game in the process.

Oakland is more than capable of forcing a fumble or two. But maybe, just maybe, a blind squirrel in the Oakland secondary will find a nut and pick off the darn football. It will be a most glorious interception. You really don’t know what you got until it’s gone. For the sake of the Raiders, let’s hope they beat the snot out of the Broncos and win the turnover battle 3-0 en route to victory.
