Recent Games

Things are not going over very well for either the Broncos or the Raiders as we embark on our Week 12 meeting. Though both teams had serious playoff aspirations at the start of the year, they have combined for just seven wins through 11 weeks. Denver is out of it and Oakland is probably about to be.

More from Just Blog Baby

After starting year out at 3-1, the Broncos have cratered and have lost six games in a row. The last time this happen, it over 25 years ago. Denver has gotten horrendous quarterback play and that has contributed greatly to the Broncos’ awful 3-7 record. The defense isn’t without blame either, as it is a shell of its former self.

Oakland is slightly better than the Broncos of late. The Raiders have gone 2-2 in their last four games. However, they are 2-6 in their last eight and just 4-6 on the season. The four-game slide in Weeks 3 through 6 has seriously jeopardized this team’s playoff chances. While the wins over Kansas City and Miami were excellent, the losses to Buffalo and New England were embarrassing.

Oakland has not played a true home game since Week 7, when the Raiders beat the Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. The Raiders lost to the Bills in Orchard Park in Week 8, beat the Dolphins in Miami Gardens in Week 9, were on bye in Week 10 and got destroyed by the Patriots in Mexico City last week. Neither team is playing well right now, but somebody has to win this game, right? Then again, awkward ties are always possible…so go Raiders!
