By John Buhler
Before Roquan Smith popped in the eyes of scouts, another college football star with Georgia roots emerged as a top-10 lock this season in North Carolina State Wolfpack edge player Bradley Chubb. He’s going to get drafted higher than his cousin Georgia Bulldogs running back Nick Chubb.

Chubb has played in 40 games for the Wolfpack in Raleigh. He has 198 career total tackles (100 solo, 98 assists), a ridiculous 54.5 tackles for a loss of yardage, 25.0 quarterback sacks, six forced fumbles, four passes defended, one fumble recovery and an interception.
At 6-foot-4, 275 pounds, Chubb has all the measurables that NFL scouts could ever hope to find out of an edge player. You could put him at outside linebacker, defensive end and maybe even some snaps at 3-technique in obvious passing downs if you really want to see Chubb take flight.

This is a guy that could be a Pro Bowler from the jump if put in the right situation. It would be shocking to see him fall out of the top-10, much less land to the Raiders picking in the teens. Is he a guy worth trading up for? Maybe, but no doubt Chubb is going to make somebody’s front-seven really good for a long time. Could that be with the Raiders? We’ll see.
