Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper is questionable for Sunday’s road game versus the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14 with an ankle injury.
The Oakland Raiders will play their biggest game of the season up to this point on Sunday when they have to travel to raucous Arrowhead Stadium to take on the arch rival Kansas City Chiefs. Kickoff from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City will be at 10:00 a.m. PT, 1:00 p.m. ET on Dec. 10.
Oakland will be getting back an important receiving weapon this week in Michael Crabtree, who served his one-game suspension in Week 13 for fighting Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib back in Week 12. Could the Raiders have back No. 1 wide receiver Amari Cooper as well?
Here is the Raiders’ injury report from Friday heading into the crucial game with the Chiefs.
Raiders’ Friday injury report, Week 14
- David Amerson, cornerback: Questionable (foot)
- Denico Autry, defensive linemen: Questionable (hand)
- Amari Cooper, wide receiver: Questionable (ankle)
- Jon Feliciano, guard: Out (concussion)
- Cory James, linebacker: Doubtful (knee)
- Jamize Olawale, fullback: Questionable (ankle)
- Cordarrelle Patterson, wide receiver: Questionable (hip)
- Jihad Ward, defensive linemen: Doubtful (foot)
The Raiders had 13 players listed on the injury report. However, five of those players’ inclusions were not for injury-related concerns. Those were veteran players probably getting some rest in linebacker NaVorro Bowman, linebacker Bruce Irvin, running back Marshawn Lynch, defensive end Khalil Mack and safety Reggie Nelson.
Overall, the Raiders had eight players on the injury report that are either questionable, doubtful or out. The five players that were questionable were cornerback David Amerson (foot), defensive lineman Denico Autry (hand), Cooper (ankle), fullback Jamize Olawale (ankle) and wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (hip).
Two players for the Raiders are listed as doubtful. Those players are linebacker Cory James (knee) and defensive linemen Jihad Ward (foot). Guard Jon Feliciano has been ruled out for this game with a concussion.

With regards to the two that are doubtful, don’t expect either to play. James has been banged up all year with that knee. Ward had been a mainstay as an inactive player for most of the season anyway.
That being said, we must pay close attention to the five Raiders that are listed as questionable. Amerson has been questionable most of the season, but that hasn’t helped him get on the field all that much. Autry’s inclusion is a recent one. He’s played well of late and the Raiders would hate to keep him out.
Cooper’s ankle is the story heading into this game for the Raiders in the injury department. He did clear concussion protocol this week after sitting out Week 13’s home game versus the Giants. If his ankle is close to 100 percent, he could start, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see if he’s held out for this one as well.

Olawale has been banged up most of the year. It’s about 50-50 if he plays or not each week when he’s injured. He’s not a sure thing to suit up like right guard Gabe Jackson, but more likely to play than Amerson this season. Patterson has dealt with this hip concern for about a month now. It’s almost certain that he’ll end up playing, especially if Cooper can’t give it a go.
