The Oakland Raiders are really banged up heading into Monday Night Football with the Philadelphia Eagles. Mario Edwards Jr. will be out for the second week.

No, the Oakland Raiders will not be fresh heading into Monday night’s football game with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Raiders are not only banged up heading into Week 16, but could be knocked out of the AFC playoff race before kickoff on Christmas night.

It does not help that the Silver and Black had 15 players listed on Saturday’s injury report heading into the Eagles game on Monday Night Football. While four of those players came off the injury report Saturday afternoon, three Raiders have been placed on Injured Reserve.

Oakland has two players that are out for sure. Defensive lineman Mario Edwards Jr. will miss his second straight game with the bad ankle. Rookie defensive tackle Treyvon Hester won’t be able to go because of an ankle as well.

Here is the Saturday injury report heading into Week 16’s road game versus the Eagles.

Oakland Raiders Week 16 injury report

Overall, Oakland has two players listed as out, one listed as doubtful and five that are listed as questionable. We know that the defensive line will be depleted with both Edwards and Hester out. The guy who is doubtful will be cornerback David Amerson. At this point, we just have to assume he’s out, as he hasn’t played for the Raiders in over two months.

As for the five players that are questionable, those will be more of game time decisions. With Edwards and Hester out, let’s hope that defensive lineman Denico Autry can battle through the hand and ankle injuries so that he can play on Monday night.

Perhaps wide receiver Amari Cooper could be back after missing two of the last three games with a bad ankle? He barely played in Week 14 versus the Kansas City Chiefs before re-injuring his ankle. That wasn’t good at all.

Pro Bowl center Rodney Hudson was apparently battling through kidney stones during the Sunday Night Football game versus the Dallas Cowboys. This is one tough dude. Hopefully he can get back to good and play for the Silver and Black against that formidable Eagles front-seven.

Bruce Irvin is in concussion protocol, so let’s keep a close eye on him for Monday night. If he can’t play, then the Raiders could be in for a rough Christmas night in Philadelphia. Keith McGill II was the fifth Raider that was listed as questionable. His knee is still acting up, plus he’s dealing with some sort of illness.

While the Raiders have guys on the injury report that will play on Sunday, including running back Marshawn Lynch and defensive end Khalil Mack, we should point out the three players going on season-ending IR.

Pro Bowl left tackle Donald Penn saw his season come to an end with an awful ankle injury on Sunday night. He had foot surgery this week, so his season is done for sure. The two other players going on IR are concussion related. Those players would be guard Jon Feliciano and tight end Clive Walford. Though not starters, their injuries crush the Raiders’ depth at key positions on the offense.

As for the Eagles, they only had six players listed on their injury report heading into Saturday’s practice. Those players would be defensive end Derek Barnett (groin), cornerback Jalen Mills (ankle), linebacker Mychal Kendricks (foot), guard Stefen Wisniewski (ankle), cornerback Patrick Robinson (concussion) and guard Chance Warmack (hamstring).
