Recent Games

Streaks will be a defining part of both the Raiders and the Charges’ 2017 NFL campaigns. Both have had one losing streak of four games. Los Angeles’ came at the start of the year. The Chargers have the chance at making the AFC playoffs at 9-7 after beginning the year in an 0-4 hole.

Oakland lost four in a row to fall to 2-4 at one point. The Raiders would eventually get themselves back to .500 at 6-6 heading into the final quarter of the season. However, the Silver and Black have lost three games in a row to fall out of the playoff race. The Raiders could very well end the year on a four-game slide.

The Chargers have gone 8-3 since their 0-4 start. Their only losses since that awful start have been to AFC division winners in the New England Patriots, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Kansas City Chiefs. Los Angeles has one five of its last six games. The Chargers could be one of the most dangerous teams in the AFC playoffs should they make it.

Outside of their first two defeats on the year at the hands of the Denver Broncos and the Miami Dolphins, the Chargers haven’t lost to a sub-.500 team in months. That does not bode well for the 6-9 Raiders, but we’ll just have to wait and see how this AFC West showdown will ultimately shake out on Sunday afternoon at the StubHub Center in Carson.
